What is HArmonyCa™?

HArmonyCa™ is an innovative, dual-effect hybrid injectable, that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite by Allergan, makers of Juvederm fillers. 

The hyaluronic acid provides an immediate lifting effect  after the treatment more like traditional dermal fillers, while the calcium hydroxyapatite works as a biostimulator over time to stimulate the body’s own collagen production to tighten and remodel the skin. 

As a result, the skin will feel firmer and tighter, and you will see gradual, continual improvement in the appearance of your skin over 18 months due to the continued stimulation of new collagen.

HArmonyCa™ restores facial volume loss by providing an immediate lifting effect, but also simultaneously stimulates the collagen production within your skin long after you have had treatment.

It is most suited to patients who are experiencing accordion smile lines (vertical wrinkles between the ears and lips), lack of firmness or sagging skin, lost volume in the cheeks and mid-face, and mild-to-moderate jowls.

 

What areas can be treated?

HArmonyCa™ is used on the face and is particularly helpful for patients experiencing skin laxity with a lack of firmness or sagging, lost volume around the cheeks, accordion smile lines (vertical wrinkles between the ears and lips), and mild-to-moderate jowls. 

It can be used as a combination therapy alongside traditional filler treatments used to support the skin by way of facial structure where there is significant volume loss, as traditional dermal fillers work on different levels of the skin and have different properties and outcomes.

How does HArmonyCa™ work?

HArmonyCa™ is injected directly under the skin surface of the face using a cannula, focussing on the cheeks and jawline area to create lift and tightening. 

The hyaluronic acid provides an immediate lifting effect  after the treatment more like traditional dermal fillers, while the calcium hydroxyapatite works as a biostimulator over time to stimulate the body’s own collagen production to tighten and remodel the skin. 

Results commence immediately and continue working for collagen production over 18 months. If the results are favourable, you are safe to repeat treatment every 6-12 months if you wish.

What to expect

1. Consultation

At consultation, we will discuss your main skin concerns and the treatment options available, including common side effects and possible complications. After checking your medical health history, if treatment is safe for you, we will sign a consent form and go ahead with planned treatment.

 

2. Treatment

At treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream can be used to numb the skin but is generally not necessary. A fine needle is used to inject the serum in the skin surface in several points across the area being treated.

 

3. Review two weeks later (optional)
